The entire point of posting property photos is to make sure the images are warm, vibrant and actually encourage people to want to come to see the place in person. Poor quality photos do the opposite.

The slide show above automatically runs on Windows-based computers, with Flash, OR displays natively with Apple mobile devices--the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.

Apple has refused to play nice with Adobe and allow Flash content on the new devices: the iPhone, iPod Touch, and the recently released iPad. The slide show displayed above is delivered on the fly by the server after detecting which type of device you, the web visitor, are using. This is an example of a new solution (currently in Beta testing) that allows photos and videos to be displayed on either platform (Apple or Flash). So, if you are using one of the Apple devices you can now view my images seamlessly, without seeing one of those little red boxes. Let me know what your experience is of this site, no matter what your viewing equipment happens to be!

Poor quality images may deter potential buyers from adding a property to their "must see" list when searching for homes on MLS and realtor sites. Many realtors today use digital compact cameras (point-and-shoot) to do their own photography. Most images on real estate listing sites are simply simply drab and muddy looking. Read this recent (6/21/2010) New York Times article, To Sell a Luxe Apartment, No Ordinary Snapshot Will Do, by Christine Haughney, illustrating the importance of professional quality imagery in selling properties. According to the article, photographs determine if buyers will be interested, or not, in a property.
